似乎是很經典的一本講風景繪畫書，不過就目前來看有點太古老瞭，最直接的缺點就是配圖全都是黑白的，並且配圖數量也很少，很多地方就是大段大段的文字乾巴巴地講，並且似乎是用一種當時的學術寫作風格來敘述，感覺上就是叨叨話很多，重要的信息並不是簡潔明瞭地幾個 bullet point 列明，而是無縫地穿插在大段大段的敘述中，總之看起來挺纍的，看完瞭即使覺得有收獲的地方想要迴去找也會超難找，現代寫作風格把重點單獨強烈列齣來真是文明的一大進步。
