融不进去，感觉不到是Matilda在说话。故事还是有点意思。

看到最后十分感动，几乎泪目。远大前程本身就是一部动人戳心的小说，Jones又带着新的视野，将南太平洋小岛融入叙事，对非英国的读者十分有号召力。太多话题可以讨论了，the embodiment of desire/subjectivity/成长小说/father... 我们每个人都有Pip的影子，每段人生中都有一位像Mister Pip一样的恩师需要铭记。当看尽那些我们曾经想要的东西，我们是否需要归乡？
