约翰·斯卡尔齐（John Scalzi）美国当红科幻作家，现任美国科幻与奇幻作家协会主席。2005年，他以《来自12个星球的敌人》（Old Man’s War）一书成名，入围该年度雨果奖最佳长篇小说，并凭借此书获得2006年度约翰·W.坎贝尔奖最佳新人奖。随后出版的一系列科幻小说，都毫无例外地登上各大畅销书排行榜，更6次入围雨果奖各大奖项。

读后感

对我而言，这篇小说给了我很大的惊喜，其中最大的就是书中关于个人意识的移植：为了抓到一个威胁到人类存亡的“恶魔”，人类首先却必须要培养一个具有这个”恶魔”意识的人，而这个人不仅是个人素质能力极强的特种兵，而且还要和所有其他的特种兵一道合作去完成这个抓捕行动，...  

文字没有所谓前作《垂暮之战》幽默犀利，随手即拾的讽刺没有那么频繁和强劲，但内核让人琢磨。个人感觉，这其实就是篇讲述美国与世界相依相存相爱相杀的故事。只不过老美们一向喜欢科幻，所以披了科幻衣，要拿中国作家来写，估计会披古装衣。 以下个人拙见，不喜...

the oldman's war系列的第二部，故事设定挺有意思，作者创造了几个外星人的社会结构，描述了与人类社会的不同，并且利用他们独特的性质，各个击破三个外星种族的反抗人类的联盟。对同一克隆体存在的不同意识之间的纠缠，结合，又独立也做了一定的描述。
