The First World War marked a crisis for the burgeoning women's movements in Europe and in the United States. The Women's Movement in Wartime is the first volume to explore the responses of the women's movements to the war in all of the major belligerent nations - Germany, Austria/Hungary, France, Britain (and its Empire), the United States and Russia.
