作者简介

Ray Douglas Bradbury (August 22, 1920 – June 5, 2012) was an American fantasy, science fiction, horror and mystery fiction writer. Best known for his dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 (1953) and for the science fiction and horror stories gathered together as The Martian Chronicles (1950) and The Illustrated Man (1951), Bradbury was one of the most celebrated 20th-century American writers. Many of Bradbury's works have been adapted into television shows or films.

读书的意义 我一直怀疑我是不是受骗了。 古人们总是一副官本意识过剩的样子，老套地教育我们“书中自有黄金屋颜如玉千钟粟”；就像今天坐在教室中我的外甥女听到的那种千篇一律的句子，好好学习，天天向上，以后就可以有份好工作，不用活得那么辛苦。我也有过纯真的少年时代，...  

华氏451度—— =纸张的燃点； =书籍的燃点； =知识的燃点； =理性的燃点； =自由的燃点； =人性的燃点。 当旧世界一切可以被冠以高尚，美德，圣洁，美好的物质与精神被燃烧毁灭殆尽之时，正是一个崭新的混沌的新世界的起始点——以华氏451度为界。  

I finished 180 pages (roughly) on the 10hr-ish flight back from San Francisco to Beijing; that's the entire novel plus Bradbury's own afterwards and Coda. In terms of pages per minute, this might be a personal record. But that doesn't mean much; I've read...
