知道Mazzucato是因为她在UCL自己掌门的系开了一门课叫”rethinking Capitalism”，批评资本主义+讲马克思，在右派的经济学科中简直是一股清流。那门课的课本就是这本书。后来哈维上节目也强推了这本书。然而打开才发现，这样的一本“课本”居然不是一本学术著作！虽然有点啰嗦，但总体来说不失于一本优秀的大众读物：观点清晰，有理有据，和《21世纪资本论》的风格非常类似。总结一下：这本书从经济历史出发，探讨了当下我们混淆了价值创造和价值提取的问题。不但GDP衡量有缺陷，像金融这种中介行业更是完全没有创造价值。对于价值的误解，导致了一些错误的政策，比如大量的公共设施私有化，以及对知识产权的过度保护。
