（可能涉及轻微剧透）剧情过半后，有两章具体涉cult太迷了。风格一转。hypnotize太迷了。相比之下上网查DNA查亲缘关系都不算太迷了，当然这点可能是文化差异。还有很多让人生气的内容，想打人。要素过多。优点也很突出，多线把握和节奏感都很不错，杂而清晰，时而给予刺激。不愧是哈兰·科本，像是印象中“瘾君子”就有五种以上表达还没让我觉得刻意炫就很厉害（什么苍白的举例）最后的尾声真相很不错，关系的揭晓完全颠覆了此前以为的一堆真实。别人写出来叫狗血，他一写怎么就这么好看呢。

1.5/5 Coben tries to blend hardcore drugs, a cult, genealogy testing, and rape together but fails pretty damn miserably. There's nothing that connected me to this somewhat far-fetched story, not helped by his plain characters, implausible plotlines and AWFULLY written dialogues. Some say constructing a good thriller is an art; this one is a joke.

太好看了，反转一波又一波，纸质版有400多页却一点不觉得拖沓冗长。
