Dolly Alderton is an award-winning journalist who has written for publications including The Sunday Times, the Daily Telegraph, GQ, Marie Claire, Red and Grazia. From 2015 to 2017 she was The Sunday Times Style's dating columnist. She is the co-host of The High Low, a weekly pop culture and current affairs podcast, and also writes and directs for television. This is her first book.

I needed a leap of faith to take M's recommendation upon this, knowing that Alderton is far too young to offer me the kind of wisdom and guidance that I usually look for in an autobiography. And I did have to leaf patiently through the earlier years until she turned 25. Then came that heartbreakingly beautiful transformation of a character.

非常raw and personal的memoir，佩服Dolly的勇气和坦率。虽然我个人没有binge drinking and body image的问题，但青春期和young adult时期的自我怀疑、迷茫、虚无、放纵、快乐及成长，以及turning 30的anxiety都是那么真切和relatable。书里经常提及北伦敦的一些地名，刚好是我在伦敦读书时住的区域，熟悉温暖又感伤。I absolutely adore this book.

it’s about love between Dolly and Farly. It’s about growing up. it’s about how she sees through things i half see through. it’s about british humour and way of writing that i sense similarity of my own. it’s about a so very good memory one has for one’s life lol (in cuba)

Some parts are very good. Some insufferable. The recipes are pointless. Overall, an uneven book.
