作者說本意是寫休斯頓群像，但我感覺是從個人經曆寫到傢庭、街區。畢竟是有色酷兒作傢，不意外種族和性嚮是貫穿所有故事的主題，但是沒有激烈的衝突，我非常喜歡這種反高潮的寫法，總體來講非常好讀，就是時不時夾兩句西班牙語讓人頭大。另外不知道作者自己注意到沒有， “my whiteboy”幾乎是本書最高頻詞匯瞭……
