此书让我第一次听说并领教了比较历史学这一观点，耳目一新。读罢此书，掩卷长叹。喔，原来历史是这样写的，原来历史是可以这样写的。 此书购于1998年左右，数年过去了，每年都拿出来重温一下，每次都有新收获、新感受。真是一本得心应手的工具书。 回想起来，中学时代的历史教...  

书店里看过,还行,故而力荐。 我的感受是:作者视野开阔,知识渊博 　　 　　全书行文流畅，通俗易懂。 随意翻开哪一段,都可以顺畅地读下去~ 　　 　　斯塔夫里阿诺斯是个未曾谋面的学者，虽如此，方便易读的文字还是让我感到他的可爱~ 　　  

这本书很值得读！作者从宏观上整体把握历史，改变了我们过去对历史的分裂式认识。英文词汇比较简单，学历史还能锻炼英语能力。  

果不其然，看惯了国别史再来看所谓的全球通史，特点一目了然。同时段横向比较是最大的优势，用商务语言说就是对标分析做得到位。史前人类部分与《人类简》、《枪炮、病菌与钢铁》等内容大同小异，但是按照著书时间实则是后者与《全球通史》大同小异。在无里程碑式的重要发现或...
