葛瑞汉（1919—1991），当代英国著名汉学家和哲学家。1919年生于威尔士；早年就读于牛津大学；二战期间在英国皇家空军服役，曾在伦敦大学亚非学院接受日语培训，并被派往马来西亚、泰国等地担任日文翻译；退役后重返亚非学院学习中文，1950年毕业后留校任教，1953年获博士学位，历任讲师，教授；1981年当选为英国学术院院士；1991年病逝。《泰晤士报》称他为：“世界公认的中国哲学和语言研究的重要权威，中国哲学与诗词的天才翻译家，把中国古代的生活理念介绍给西方的杰出阐释者。”

他的主要著作有《两位中国哲学家：程明道与程伊川》（1958年）、《列子译注：道的经典》（1960年）、《价值问题》（1961年）、《后期墨家逻辑、伦理与科学》（1978年）、《：内七篇及其他作品》（1981年）、《理性与自然》（1985年）、《阴阳与关联思维的本质》（1986年）、《中国哲学与哲学文献研究》（1986年）、《论道者：中国古代哲学论辩》（1989年）和《理性中的非理性》（1992年）等。其中，《论道者：中国古代哲学论辩》是其最重要的代表作。
