The renowned communications theorist Robert Gallager brings his lucid writing style to the study of the fundamental system aspects of digital communication for a one-semester course for graduate students. The various concepts covered are brought together in a description of wireless communication, using CDMA as a case study.

比较典型的MIT风格，上来就戳本质，讲得很深，并不适合拿来当第一本数字通信教材。用Proakis的书学习完数字通信课程以后再来看这本书，会有种内功提升的感觉。
