愈往后读，舞台剧风格愈强，人物对话、冲突等设计感非常具画面感。描写人性淋漓尽致。

开篇腔调十足，气氛渲染得很好，人物形象也很鲜活，收尾有点草率。狄更斯好会讲故事～文章中真挚与虚伪、浪漫和“实用”、自然与工业的对比读起来很有意思，既制造张力，又有统一感。天真美好的部分诗意，困惑混沌时期压抑，虚伪险恶的部分讽刺，尤其是银行家和女管家互相假抬桥的部分，蛮好笑。不同人的语言也很有特点，读的时候可以在脑里直接转成话剧。
