The book is a unique source of information about Le Parc de la Villette, Paris, winner of Bernard Tschumi's competition design of 1982. It was published in 1989 as a second edition.

It has a detailed text explaining the concepts, strategies and Tschumi's groundbreaking ideas. The images are more varied and detailed than I've ever seen in any other bibliography. It has images such as Tschumi's conceptual drawings, competition proposals, model photographs and detailed construction drawings. It is printed on a textured heavy paper, which makes the images more beautiful.

So many times, I've heard about and read references to it! But never had the opportunity to find this much information gathered together. To be honest, reading the process of design and conceptual background in this detail for the first time made me appreciate the actual park more.

Unfortunately it is out of print. But if you are lucky you can find it from someone selling on the internet or second hand bookshops. A piece of architectural history!
