傑弗裏·M·伍德裏奇，密歇根州立大學經濟學特聘教授，1991年以來一直在該校任教。1986—1991年，伍德裏奇博士曾擔任麻省理工學院的經濟學助理教授。他於1982年在加州大學伯剋利分校獲得計算機科學與經濟學學士學位，並於1986年在加州大學聖迭戈分校獲得經濟學博士學位。伍德裏奇博士曾在國際知名期刊上發錶學術論文30多篇，參與過多部著作的寫作，他還是《橫截麵與麵闆數據的計量經濟分析》一書的作者。他的獲奬項目包括：斯隆(Alfred P Sloan)研究奬，《計量經濟理論》的Plurla Scripsit奬，《應用計量經濟學雜誌》的斯通(Richard Stone)爵士奬，以及在MIT三次獲得研究生教學年度優秀教師奬。他還是計量經濟學會和《計量經濟學雜誌》的資深會員。

人大版翻譯的國外經典教材真難讀，糟糕的翻譯，似乎譯者不是中國人，如此這般的書麵錶達真讓人佩服，還存在很多錯誤，對人大的這套叢書失望透瞭。再也不敢買人大翻譯得書瞭。譯者太不負責任瞭，不要因為翻譯國外書不作為學術研究而急功近利，隻為拿點翻譯費。跟高鴻業花3年翻...

這是本非常漂亮的學術著作讀起來很愉悅雖然在技術上不是很難但對計量經濟學的解說卻非常到位同時例子也非常豐富如果能夠認真看過兩遍作齣閤適的實證研究應該不是問題　　稍微指齣一點瑕疵：就是這本書在印刷上存在一定的錯誤（非常少的地方存在翻譯錯誤） ...
