Ormerod's acrylic paintings are bright and have a pleasingly simple realism about them. They fill the pages and show plenty of action and expression. A sweet-eyed infant， mud-spattered pig， wing-flapping hen， and friendly snapping turtle are some of the inhabitants of this charming offering for lap sharing. Combine it with Kay Chorao's Baby's Lap Book (Dutton， 1977) and Vera B.
