My two sons had beentaken away from me--and, for a woman, you know that can be theutmost shame, misery, despair. I was in the depths ofalcoholism/pep pill addiction. I was divorced, broke, jobless andfrightened beyond belief. As a Southern "lady" I had been raised toexpect so very much of myself, and I had lived up to those expecta-tions to a point: home, family, community esteem, etc. I had evenadded the ingredient of a career as a radio and television personalityand fashion model. But suddenly, it was all gone, and so were myhopes and all my self-respect. Once I fully understood those ideas and principles set forth inthis book, my whole life took a full 180 degree turn. I gained back allI thought I had lost, and then some. My self-respect returned, andwith it came self-understanding and an enormous amount ofstrength and personal power. Just as suddenly as I had felt I lost itall, I began to walk with the winners and to know what it's like to beon the positive side of Life... filled with a happy expectancy everyday, every moment! Today, I am a successful writer, lecturer, broadcaster, poet,teacher and editor. Today I have goals I would never have dared todream before, and I literally live on the pinnacle of success andachievement. My lifestyle is one of freedom and intbgrity. Myhealth, my affairs, my finances are all in perfect harmony with myneeds, direction and expectancy. How this came about is an exciting and dramatic story.
