Dana Knee has assembled a retrospective of his father's work in New Mexico, and has included many images that were never printed in the photographer's lifetime, and that the younger Knee restored and printed as large-format contact negatives. The book begins with a short biography of the elder Knee, who was Howard Hughes' photographer from 1942-47, and whose friends included artists such as Edward Weston and Ansel Adams. Eighty-one plates display Knee's beautiful black & white photographs of the New Mexico landscape and people
