Martin Mooney was born in Belfast 1964.His collections include Grub (Belfast, Blackstaff Press, 1993),which won the 1994 Brendan Behan Memorial Award; and Rasputin and his Children (Dublin, Blackwater Press, 2000, republished 2003 by Belfast, Lagan Press); and Blue Lamp Disco (Lagan Press, 2003).He is currently Development Officer for the Creative Writers' Network in Northern Ireland.
