5年后读的第二遍，写得真是不错。一本很pulp的书彻底秒杀钱德勒和Jim Thompson. 似乎是海明威的中篇中真正延续了他短篇的精髓的一部，却有很多人认为作家失恋那段是滥竽充数。有多少人不喜欢就有多少人喜欢。

确实可能叫Harry Morgan更合适。毕竟围绕Harry发生的故事有趣，无奈，残忍和惊心动魄。在水上Harry的心理活动是我最喜欢读的部分。故事的其他人物的描写，众生百态，觉得是作者在一旁发牢骚。
