He has published numerous books including Herder: Philosophical Writings (Cambridge, 2002), After Herder (2010), and German Philosophy of Language from Schlegel to Hegel and Beyond (2011).Kristin Gjesdal is Professor of Philosophy at Temple University, Philadelphia. Her recent books include Herder's Hermeneutics: History, Poetry, Enlightenment (Cambridge, 2017) and Ibsen's Hedda Gabler: Philosophical Perspectives (2018).
