When Arcadia opened in 1985 the praise was overwhelm-
ing--people were smitten by the sumptuous, inventive
food prepared by Anne Rosenzweig and the pastoral
atmosphere evoked by Paul Davis s 70-foot-long seasonal
mural that wraps around the interior of the restaurant.
The Arcadia Seasonal Mural and Cookbook is a celebration
of that collaboration, and brings to art and food lovers
everywhere the pleasures of this superb restaurant. The
accordion-fold book includes Paul Davis s bucolic mural in
full, which season by season unfolds a country life ofbosks
and lakes, of nature in perfect harmony. Arcadia chef
and co-owner Anne Rosenzweig has created four s,-a-
sonal menus (with recipes from Pasta with Mint-Cured
Salmon to Chocolate Bread Pudding), each of them offer-
ing that sense of warmth, abundance, and bliss of a time
wonderfully arcadian.
