Babies born at that moment, according to the
old superstition,are never sure who they are.
They re forever divided--going through life not
knowing whether they want to go back to the
day before midnight, or go ahead to the day
after. The midnight baby is twice born.
Dory Previn, successful songwriter, composer,
and singer, was sitting aboard a Pan Am flight
from Los Angeles to London when the twice-
born prophecy became a nightmare reality,
Somebody in her seat was screaming. Scream-
ing with a childlike rage that had been pent-up
for so many years and now was beyond control.
It was Dorothy Langan, a little girl who had lived
many years before.
