The “salt pact” is a pact of renovated hope, an agreement of friendship and love. It’s meaning surfaced in the ancient Israelite language to express the stability and inviolability of the alliance with God. Among the Arabs of the desert there is a ritual called “salt’s alliance” that is based on the idea that when you share salt with someone, the life between those two people is liked forever. Salt pact is the exhibition of the unpublished drawings on the theme of fantasy designed by Canicola for d406 gallery. The idea of “salt” deals with the one of communion and sharing of a project despite different perspectives, scenarios, signs. In this issue, together with the selection of works for the exhibition, there are comic stories and two big drawings of: Pauliina Mäkelä and Tommi Musturi, Olivier Schrauwen, Marijpol, Hok Tak Yeung, Francesco Cattani. “Drawing is like praying. Drawing is out of fashion. Drawing is imagining realities. Drawing does not change the world. Everyone can draw. Tota tells me that “drawing is boring”. The magazine is changing and we do not know what will happen. Hopping around like a check rabbit.
