Kodwo Eshun (born 1967) is a British writer and theorist. He studied English Literature (BA Hons, MA Hons) at University College, Oxford University and Post Colonial Discourse Analysis MA Hons at Southampton University. He is currently course leader of the MA in Aural and Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths College, University of London.

Eshun's book More Brilliant than the Sun: Adventures in Sonic Fiction was published in 1998 and is “At its simplest... a study of visions of the future in music from Sun Ra to 4 Hero”[1]. Written in a style that makes extensive use of neologism, re-appropriated jargon and compound words the book explores the intersection of black music and science fiction from an afro-futurist viewpoint.

Afrofuturism很有趣 但这种写作风格实在让人很难进入。我也想这样用自己造的合成词堆砌出一本书来 特别的酷！天马行空 从电子乐到未来旋律机器 从神话科学到魔法技术。但我真的不知道然后呢……看的时候犹如坐着高速飞行器一路疾驰 看完了屁都记不住 想做了场梦。但你要是把它学术化又等于丢掉了其抗拒被学术化的本质。这时候你觉得啊 德勒兹相比真的是好太多了。但你洗把脸精神一下之后立马意识到：不行！我在干什么？我是谁？我要到哪里去？我为什么在读这种书？！
