起初想要重读托尔斯泰，就是想到了《西伯利亚的理发师》里车厢内的场景，现在看来，女主读托尔斯泰，也的确像这部作品里说的一样，是真正活着的人。相比安娜卡列尼娜，这本是精短许多，然而在我看来却比托翁的其他作品要更加锋利，也许复活才能与之相比。伊凡伊里奇之死，名副其实，死才是高潮，寥寥数页就能使人直面关于生和死的拷问……There also the further back he looked the more life there had been. 昨天准备走的时候，学生突然过来，只好陪她一起自习，这才提前把这部读完。“有时候我们坐在火车上会觉得火车是在向后行进的，直到某一瞬间才幡然醒悟真正前进的方向”……什么时候能去乘一次就好了，西伯利亚大铁路，大概没有比带上一本托尔斯泰更合适的了吧

跑题：读这本的契机完全是因为茶在推上反复引用的“He in his madness prays for storms, and dreams that storms will bring him peace”。 网上流传此话出自《伊凡·伊里奇之死》。可是我读完了根本没找到啊？！一个学习：原话出自莱蒙托夫的诗，托尔斯泰在他的作品中大概有过引用，但并不是这本。

伊凡伊里奇这个具有代表性的平庸中产阶级被托尔斯泰无情的嘲弄了。小确幸/岁月静好/精致利己只是生存，却从来都不是活着，生命活力在升官发财，应酬娱乐，消费奢侈中挥霍流逝，像高空中坠落的铁球坠落至深渊。中产阶级的幸福是由虚伪与欺骗编制的，无论是家庭还是事业，生活，医生，人仅仅只作为一个物件被他人使用，这也是伊里奇病死中觉察到的——他人不关心的死亡，只关心你的社会位置由谁取代。突如起来的疾病最初伊里奇带来的是挣扎的烦恼，随后是意识到生命早已被挥霍殆尽的醒觉的痛苦，而病情的进一步加重则把意义也给消解了，伊里奇在濒死的体验中获得的是一种克尔凯廓尔式飞越般的快乐——痛苦虽在，死亡已不可知。
