整本书主要讲深度报道的记者在客观性和mortal/political pursuit之间的平衡，主要的材料是对几个资深记者的访谈和TA们的新闻作品。第四章关于irony是写的最好的，用了WC Booth的Rhetoric of Irony. 第五章稍弱也很有启发，主要是例子分析的很细致。因为论文需要，最近盲看了一些关于news narratives/stories的研究，觉得真不容易写出花来。这本书已经非常好了。
