This post-emigrant condition might very well be a new phase in which the majority of migrant and non-migrant writers and artists find themselves today. How is an immigrant group that is no longer immigrant perceived? How does it perceive itself? Do tired stereotypes still help artists in representing themselves and society? How do ethnic and racial minority organisations maintain or disintegrate their own culture?
