Mallgrave给Frampton的那本著名建构书写了序，本文作者表示他们两者关于tectonics的认知是有差的，然后回溯了Boetticher,Schinkel, Semper, Woelfflin等人对于tectonics的认知。最后提出“tectonics是一种人类以一种an-denken（思考/纪念？）的行为激活每个表面的愿望，是一种智识的创造，以多种可能性连接过去和未来”。蛮好看的一本书。
