埃德加·李•馬斯特斯（Edgar Lee Masters，1868-1950），美國詩人。他齣生於堪薩斯州的律師傢庭，大學輟學後，去他父親的事務所學習法律，成為芝加哥的著名律師。馬斯特斯三十歲開始以不同筆名在報紙上發錶詩歌，四十七歲齣版現實主義作品《匙河集》，成為“美國文學史上的一個裏程碑”。他是一位多産作傢，除瞭詩歌，還寫過小說、散文、劇本、傳記等五十餘部作品。1950年3月5日，馬斯特斯在賓夕法尼亞州因病去世。

Just so-so. My own reason would be I don't like poems, and I couldn't really understand what they were trying to say. But I like the idea of all villagers telling the story of their life. It was impressive.
