J.R.R. 托尔金（J.R.R.Tolkien），英国文豪，天才的语言学家，生于1892年1月3日，1925年开始担任牛津大学教授。他创造了一系列脍炙人口的中洲世界史诗，影响最为深远的是《霍比特人》和《魔戒》。这两部巨作，被誉为当代奇幻作品的鼻祖。1972年3月28日，托尔金获英国女王伊利莎白二世颁发的大英帝国指挥官勋章。托尔金于1973年9月2日在牛津逝世。托尔金死后，其作品声名未减，至今已畅销2.5亿余册，《魔戒》在英国Waterstones书店和第四频道合办的票选活动中被选为20世纪之书，被亚马逊网络书店票选为两千年以来最重要的书籍。

这个版本是台湾联经出版社出版的，此版本非大陆译林出版社的版本 看到这么多的差评，是在不忍心，特此上来说明。 联经的版本翻译的非常好，语言也很优美，千万不要弄混淆了呀 但是非常可惜的是在国内找不到这个版本的书，淘宝上的代购价格比原版都贵，所以索性买了英文版本的。...  

在忙论文的时候看完这本书，总是看了一段后红肿着眼下楼买饭，满脑子精灵和艾代英，是楼管阿姨眼中的怪咖。始终认为，能触动读者内心最柔软部分的书，就是可爱的，书因感人而可爱。 打算忙完这段后马上看第二遍，即那本据说封面很蛋疼但翻译更优质的邓版。看李尧这个版本...  

读了很多<<译林》，每期有个长篇，几乎最后都出了单行本，发现翻译是每下愈况。自此，《译林》不买了，那些单行本就更算了。 上他们的网站，等写完评论，他告诉你时间到了，你得重新登录，换个方法，写完COPY，结果不能COPY，倒。BYE-BYE 吧，您哪！  

很多人都说这本书看不懂，但我非常喜欢它，因为我把《精灵宝钻》一书当作了架空世界的神话传说。我最喜欢的章节是“贝伦与露西恩”以及“图林·图伦拔”。 有人说托尔金神话体系的创世是基督教式的，创造出的世界是北欧的。我也有这种感觉。

彼得•杰克逊携编剧菲丽帕•博伊恩斯、主演“梭林•橡木盾”理查德•阿米蒂奇来中国的消息让许多人对《霍比特人：五军之战》的票房前景看好，毕竟前两部的吸金能力都难以与新贵“漫威”相比，而《霍比特人：五军之战》很有可能是我们有生之年最后一部中洲电影，电影公...
