張民和，1962年齣生，漢族，陝西省西安市人。西安學院外語係係主任兼外語教研室主任，學科帶頭人。

在工作中，他敢於改革和創新，為西安學院的外語教學創齣瞭一條卓有成效的新路子。在教學方麵，他采取瞭一係列改革措施，從根本上改變瞭原先陳舊的教學模式。在提高學生學習質量方麵，他極力主張以挖掘學生最大知識潛力為核心進行教學改革。在2004年5月底由陝西省13個部委局主辦的“漢斯杯”陝西省首屆大學生纔藝大奬賽英文講演賽及英文辯論賽中，西安思源學院分彆獲得計演賽與辯論賽的冠軍，並在講演賽的15名中有6名來自西安思源學院，辯論賽前四名中，前兩名來自思源學院。

除編寫實用英語教材《英語基礎》、《英語口語與文化（北美篇）》外，還編寫教材《英語演講》一書。
