读完第一章便收起来。长时间的心灵震撼，使得我不知道如何继续阅读下面的篇章。过了很久，才安静下来继续阅读。缜密、清晰的逻辑，严肃、客观的态度，公正、坦荡的人格，博大、宽容的关怀，坚决、理智的自由意识。一百五十年前已然如此。叹服之至。阿弥陀佛。2012.12.30

距离看完这本书都已经两年多了，在图书馆的寻觅，无意中看到了这本书，看到了斯图尔特 穆勒那个时代的大学教育，更重要的是他小时候由爸爸带给他的教育，都是非常自由独特的。想象着有那么一天有着那样思想碰撞的场面，积极讨论问题，并形成自己独特的观点。
