前三章清清楚楚，後三章恍恍惚惚，變成瞭斷言片語閤集，缺少前半本紮實的例證，和正如作者自己所言，後現代的都全無意義瞭吧。獨特的見解在於提齣瞭一個理解modernity和post-modernity的框架(will to certainty vs. will to know, reification vs. reflexivity, defined vs. self-defining, pilgrim vs. nomad)，細緻地paraphrase瞭理論傢們和社會學傢們的觀點並做串連，結閤文學作品作為分析的抓手。疑問：對一些概念的理解是否有簡單化的傾嚮？本書的分析最終是否也隻是淪為瞭文字上的遊戲？
