AUTHOR: Tan Ping is a retired senior lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, where he taught for 30 years. Having won a host of awards and had his works in exhibitions and private collections, he has been an important part of the Singaporean art scene since the '60s.
