actually, it s a wordsworth publication at hand, which contains the original drawings by Kipling's dad.---------love the first story best. though this book finally found me a bit bored of "children"(or pseudo-childish) stories, i really enjoyed it.

三年前老师送的一本书

知道吉卜林其实也就是去年，奥威尔作品深受其影响，和张鑫老师讨论殖民主义的时候他又给我推荐了，但是一直都没有去看他的作品。直到奇幻森林上映，发现是改编自吉卜林的书一直记挂着要去看，我想吉卜林不是宣传殖民主义的先驱嘛，这种负能量的怎么在电影中表达？于是乎，周二就一个人去电影院看了，看完我觉得怎么会是一个暖暖的故事呢……然后回来就在亚马逊上买了电子书看…… 我觉得这本书写得真得很好，把印度这个神奇的国家、古怪的文化表现得很鲜明，这里神奇和古怪都是贬义词。当然我并不觉得印度比我们低等，我对印度没有偏见。我认为本书反映的是人性。The Jungle Book翻译成丛林法则更好。丛林也好，社会也好，都要少数服从多数，都是适者生存，都是各怀鬼胎。

读到一半发现小时候看过（从“毛克利”这个名字突然认出“）于是就读不下去了，主要是行文太过儿童文学了……而且又不萌……
