德斯蒙德•图图（Desmond Tutu，1931— ）1986年当选圣公会开普敦大主教（南非圣公会最负盛名的职位，是南非首位黑人大主教），1995年领导“真相与和解委员会”促成南非的转型正义与种族间的和解。图图被广泛认为是“南非的道德良心”，现为“国际长者会”成员，与一群世界领袖人物以他们的智慧、善良、正直和领导力在全球倡导人权。1984年，图图被授予诺贝尔和平奖；2009年，获美国“总统自由勋章”（美国授予平民的最高荣誉）；2013年，获邓普顿奖。译者：江红，国际口译员协会（AIIC）资深会员，曾在联合国任职多年，现于香港理工大学中文及双语系任教，译有《游移的湖》、《奢侈的概念》等多部作品。阎克文，现为山东大学当代社会主义研究所兼职教授，译有《韦伯政治著作选》、《经济与社会》等多部著作。两位曾合译沃尔特•李普曼的名著《公众舆论》。

因为， 第一，白人掌控了警察和军队，黑人没能力清算白人警察， 第二，白人掌控着行凶的证据，被残害的黑人如果去世就死无对证，很难找到足够定罪的证据， 第三，对白人控诉会造成巨大的财务负担和消耗大量时间，南非承受不起， 第四，清算白人，让白人描述行凶过程会造成被残...
