Alan had it all - everything a young, healthy American male could want. He had a job doing what he loved (producing trashy reality television), cash in the bank, a beautiful wife, a sweet house in Los Angeles and a definite future. He was the example of young success on all fronts. Until one day, he woke up, and had absolutely no idea what he was doing there. What happened to my twenties? Why did I get married so young? Do I have less hair than yesterday? You know, those kinds of questions...Being a young, virile man of action, Alan just ups and leaves, explaining very little, thinking even less, and decides to live for all the years he 'missed'. He buys a Porsche. He gets a great new bachelor pad. He wrangles as many dates as possible. All to the shock of his friends, who looked to him as the definition of 'young marriage working out', and are now seeing him as their new Tyler Durden-esque anti-hero - shucking responsibility and throwing caution to the wind. But what goes up must come down, and Alan is about to get a tough lesson from a source he never expected. Like the great Achilles, Alan's year of bliss is torn down unexpectedly by something...small.
