He has been a Fulbright Professor at the University of Mannheim, a German Marshall Research Fellow and a POSCO Fellow at the East/West Center. Hans-Dieter Klingemann is Professor Emeritus at the Social Science Research Center, Berlin. His publications comprise numerous books and well above a hundred journal articles or book chapters (author or co-author).
