書一開始就是Jarl被Rat給爆菊瞭，然後行會裏麵的小孩被各種能想象得到和想象不到的暴行給摺磨，好不容易等到主人公長大瞭吧，事情一點都沒變好，陰謀，殘殺，到處都是 這書被人評價為dark和gritty是有道理的，太壓抑瞭，Life is empty, life is meaningless在書裏麵不隻齣現過...

此書顯然藉鑒瞭一些《時光之輪》的創意，感覺Dorian就是來自於時輪裏的海民，包括其國度的設定（婦女裸露上身，臉上有ring等），還攜帶瞭一柄Curoch。讀起來感覺怪怪的。加上裏麵模仿時輪設置瞭一堆的xx'yy的專有名詞，甚至連巫師都有一堆不知所雲的稱呼，還找不到解釋的地方。看瞭三分之二，實在看不下去瞭。
