Throughout the developing world there are many media-based programs (radio, TV, and Internet) designed to encourage people to improve their lives by adopting certain changes in behavior. Behavior changes are more willingly undertaken and more systematically maintained when there are trained community workers to support the populace in their move towards the change. This book provides guidelines on the preparation of distance education programs that can hold the attention and motivate community workers, as well as people generally, toward behavior change.It guides readers in: setting up and managing Edu-tainment distance education projects; determining the curriculum; creating and reviewing the radio, TV, and Internet programs; determining the pre and post-knowledge of the audience; and, providing support books, participant guides, and responses.
