WHISKEY Jackson, Mississippi, attorney John Clements is charged with representing Roosevelt Daulks, the nephew of a prominent African-American city councilmember, who is accused of brutally murdering an elderly woman. Despite suspicions of his clientas guilt, Clements sees a successful defense as a means of garnering more business in the black community and higher political connections all around.
