could be patched up as vague series with Yates' other work ,such as Young Hearts crying and Liars in Love.pursuing art is too costly and most crude,even for the utmost optimistic visionary,without inexhaustible fortune,it can be nothing but a long shot,and ends in self-decepting vain.

除却一本暂时无法买到手的小说集，看完了耶茨所有的小说。贪心地想，如果耶茨是个多产的作家，有着几十部作品，该多好啊。如果某一天我可以读一个与文学相关的学位，那我就去研究理查德耶茨的作品。
