Tasting the sting of prejudice his entire life Chris San Croix, a Native American, has climbed the corporate ladder and achieved apparent respect in the law firm of Smart and, Nash, the region's industry leader in contractual law. Within his tribe, his grandfather, Charlie San Croix has neared the end of his life and begins mentoring Chris to take over as both the spiritual and physical leader of the tribe.
