作者簡介
愛瑪•多諾霍（Emma Donoghue）,1969年10月齣生於都柏林，父親是文學評論傢。少年時光大多在都柏林的一傢天主教女子修道院學校度過，唯有十歲時在紐約的一年生活異常精彩。1990年獲得都柏林大學學院英語以及法語一等榮譽學位（最高等級），但卻拙於開口說法語。隨後 移居英格蘭，在劍橋獲得博士學位（論18世紀虛構作品中的男女友誼）。23歲時寫作為生，自從做瞭一個月的旅店服務員而被解雇後，便以不曾擁有一份靠譜工作而深覺幸運。此後經年往來於英國、愛爾蘭以及加拿大，1998年定居於加拿大安大略省的倫敦市，如今與伴侶Chris Roulston以及幼子Finn (7歲)、幼女Una (3歲)居住在一起。

评分因為很討厭小孩所以並不能對主人公有多少喜歡之情 隻不過是手頭開始瞭的唯一一本小說纔讀下去kill time 唯一有點難過／被觸動的地方是 他問媽媽 我死瞭再迴來之後還會是妳的Jack嗎

评分It takes love and patience. Narration in the room is more powerful and stronger. 讀的時候腦海中刻畫的Jack和Ma就是電影的演員，讀完書更覺得電影拍得好瞭。書的重生部分還有點冗餘，所以更喜歡在房間裏的描述。動情，動人的力量。
