Adjua Babatu, a warrior from the land of Cush that lay south of Egypt, had grown weary of the battles and slaughter he had participated in as a mercenary foot soldier. Adjua sought forgiveness for his sins in Jerusalem through sacrifice at the Holy Temple. However, he did not find forgiveness from the Jewish God who no longer heeded the sacrifice of animals by the hands of men. Instead, he found the Early Christian Church and a desire for much more than forgiveness. He now wanted holiness through baptism by the Holy Ghost; but Adjua's road to baptism would not be smooth due to his numerous sins. (For excerpt: Click on Preview and scroll through pages.)
