Extracts are taken from the records of Aquinas's classroom disputations and two brilliant conspectuses of his teaching: the "Summa Contra Gentes" attempting a reasoned dialogue with non-Christian (mainly Arabic) scholars, and the "Summa Theologiae" addressed to his Christian students.
