A.A.米爾恩（Alan Alexander Milne，1882—1956）生於倫敦，大學讀的是數學，參加過第一次世界大戰，當過英國老牌幽默雜誌《笨拙》的副主編。在為小朋友寫書以前，他已經是一位大作傢，寫瞭許多長短篇小說、劇本、詩歌。不過讓他聞名世界的，還是他的兒童文學作品。

米爾恩的兒童文學作品，主要是四本書，兩本是童話，主角都是小熊維尼：《小熊維尼》（1926）和《小熊維尼角的房子》（1928），兩本是兒童詩：《當我們很小的時候》（1924）和《現在我六歲瞭》（1927）。

我收藏過許多維尼的書，有喬嚮東譯本、吳卓玲譯本、任溶溶譯本的，因為還沒有全讀完喬本的，所以先不做評論。但就整體性感覺，這本書更適閤20-30幾歲的大人或大孩子看。不象任溶溶和吳卓玲的譯本，比較適閤給小孩子看。很高興有這麼一本書，讓這個世界上更多的人真正的知道真實...
