CMU berkeley的計算機網絡本科教材，作者是網絡界的大牛，內容很新，覆蓋麵很廣，去年剛齣瞭第五版，更新瞭不少內容，個人覺得比computer network那本書要好，花瞭好久纔讀完。"...into a book that one can actually lift, Peterson and Davie have crammed a remarkable brea...

這本書看過第三版，看過第四版，當年上課用的第四版。在美國網絡的課程基本就是三本書，這本，自頂嚮下那本，還有一本忘瞭，作者名字是Andrew S. Tanenbaum，章節是按照OSI分層模型來劃分的。我本科是EE，研究生之後是CS，曾經想過要做網絡方麵，所以研究過各個學校做網絡...

書中很多c++的代碼，為什麼不能用java呢？而且英文版的內容相當冗繁，不夠簡單命瞭。好多知識點都是有長度，沒深度，說瞭還是白說。缺乏相應的例子。可恨的是，內容偏嚮計算方麵，但是書中實際例子不多，個人推薦network communication 此書，至少實用性較高，例子深度夠。

和Top-down一書各有韆鞦吧。Top-down一書勝在Application Layer，本書勝在Congestion Control，並且對Physical Layer的講述更全麵一點。至於是應該Bottom-up還是Top-down，看個人喜好吧，我更喜歡Bottom-up一點。我其實讀的第6版，第6版在GitHub上開源瞭，給作者點個贊。
