本書作為英語學界第一本以施特勞斯和海德格爾的思想關聯為主題的著作，應該說還是頗有價值的。作者維剋利的語言錶述也相當清晰，閱讀的睏難可能主要來自主題本身，因為是形而上學問題嘛。看得齣中譯本的譯者也是下過不少功夫的，隻是對兩位思想傢的思想瞭解不夠，造成不少誤譯...
